IFB Solutions

The mission of Industries for the Blind (IFB) Solutions is to create opportunities and provide independence for people who are blind or visually impaired. Therefore, the goal of the website design was to provide exemplary accessibility for its users. 

Creating a design according to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) was the top priority. Most users of the IFB website are visually impaired people using screen readers. Color choice, contrast, font choice, size and weight, alt-text, hierarchy, navigation, focus states and keyboard accessibility were amongst the elements taken into consideration and researched. Working closely with the developer was key to ensure the UX and UI of the site were successful. 

The design won an annual GD USA American Web Design Award.
